The Joplin Amateur Radio Club holds an annual Christmas Dinner each December. It is mainly a social event. Of course there is the opportunity for speeches, club awards, recognition plaques, and various prizes, finishing with the passing of the gavel to the new president.
This annual event is open to ALL area HAMS and their spouses. We encourage you to come spend an evening with your fellow radio amateurs from around the four state area for an eyeball QSO. Our treasurer loves this event, and is happy to take your money if you are interested in membership.
Beside club awards, passing the gavel and other stuff, for fun we host a ONE BUCK RAFFLE for several nice door prizes, surprises, and the unclaimed hamfest prizes. So if you didn’t win anything at the hamfest, here is your second chance! This is a club fund raiser!
This is the only official club activity that takes place in December.
There is nothing in this area about where or when? Assuming everyone knows every thing is a mistake.
